Jessalyn Fink is creative, enthusiastic, patient, and incredibly passionate about quality teaching. Her unique range of experiences working with children and adults have influenced and inspired her teaching style.

MUSICAL BACKGROUND

  • Participant, Golandsky Institute Summer Symposium for Taubman Approach (2015)
  • Certified instructor, Suzuki Piano Unit 1
  • Performs with Crozet Community Orchestra
  • Studied Suzuki Piano with Susan B. Fralin (Lynchburg, VA) which included 12 years of superior rankings in National Piano Guild Auditions, masterclasses with Gustavo Romero, Claudio Vasquez, Allen Hustzi, voluntary participation in The Suzuki Camerata performing group
  • Studied piano with Mary Kathleen Ernst at the University of Virginia
  • Part-time accompanist for Boys Choir at Field School of Charlottesville and for voice students of Heather Hightower

  • Trained: M.A. from Curry School of Education at the University of Virginia; Educator Training at Ron Clark Academy (Atlanta, GA); Choice Theory and Quality Schools at Murray HS (Charlottesville)
  • Coach: CrossFit Charlottesville Youth Training program and adult fitness classes; Poplar Forest Swim Team (Forest, VA)
