Piano Education: (Ages 4-18, beginner through advanced) September-May. Tuition-based.
Includes weekly 30-minute individual lesson and weekly 1-hour group lesson (alternates by week). Individual lessons are for warm-ups, review pieces, sight-reading, and theory, as well as some new piece work. Group lessons feature a mini lesson and a master class. The mini-lesson will use audio, video, discussion, and short activities to introduce composers, instruments, music theory, and music appreciation throughout the year. In the master class portion, students work on their new and/or polishing pieces (depending on student’s level) at the piano with me, one-on-one, and listen and observe as fellow students work their own pieces.
Performances include at a minimum 2 recitals, plus additional workshops and voluntary performance opportunities as available. For more information about the valuable experience of piano education, please read my Teaching Philosophy.
